may i see the things in front of me as they are, not as i think them to be.
may i walk the steps ahead of me one at a time, not wondering if there's a map.
may i say the things that fix things, not break them further apart.
may i do what i need to do, not be distracted by what i can't.
may i dream of what i hope for, not of what i fear.
may i love you like i love you, not as any other, me.
i started this blog in october of 2008 and have loved every minute of blogging. i've made some amazing friends and partners. i'm a successful twenty something blogger who has grown up in utah and currently lives in the salt lake city area. i am not religious but i do have a very strong belief in god. i believe there is life after death and that we have guardian angels watching our every move. i believe that the effort you put into yourself, your work, your family, your relationships is exactly what you'll get in return.
i believe in equality and support gay marriage.
i strongly believe that everything happens to us is for a reason. big or small. i believe that a good glass of wine can cure anything and a cup of good coffee can warm the soul. i believe laughter is truly the best medicine and a hug can melt away any problems. i believe in soul mates and being friends for life. i believe that if you own a dog, or two, that you will never not know love.
i currently work as an administrative assistant for an online school that most of you have probably heard of. this job has forced upon the reality that i'm growing up. each day i'm at work i learn something new and find new talents i never knew i had. i am truly grateful that i was chosen and given the opportunity to have this job.
when i graduated high school, i became a wanderer of sorts. except not outside of my home state. i moved around from city to city, job to job, boyfriend to fling, lifestyle to lifestyle until i could finally find where i want to be and where i want my life to go. i know life will never be perfect, nor do i expect it to be. i want to go through my life making mistakes, learning from them, helping others and enjoying what god has given me. what is the point in living a life without any flaws? how do you expect to learn or grow?! i am proud of who i am, the strength i've built and what i have to offer because of my past.
all in all, i'm a "normal" mid twenties woman who is focused on her career, writing and fulfilling my dreams. anything else you'd like to know about me, feel free to contact me - missy(@)ohmissyme.com
