we were here.

i've always been one who loves history and learning about all sorts of different aspects of life. recently netflix suggested a documentary based off of another one i had watched and i decided today i should watch it.
we were here is directed and produced by david weissman and was a 2011 sundance film festival official select. it focuses on the aids era and what it was like for the gay men in san francisco specifically. watching these men talk about that time and how many people they lost who were good friends, lovers, family members, absolutely broke my heart. if you have the time or are interested, i definitely suggest you watch this.

Oooh I really want to see this, I was just discussing it with a coworker the other day at work.
